Started vaulting in 4th grade, 11’ in 9th grade on steel pole (no bend), 13’ as a junior, 13’8” as a senior.  2x SWC & District champ, 4th in State, 1st in State (’62)  In college was 2x Big Ten Indoor Champion, and 2x indoor and 2x outdoor D1 Nationals qualifier.


Stuff

Has had 14 Rocky River vaulters qualify for the state meet. Seven in his last four years.
